Elder Taylor was ordained as a missionary and sent out by the Mooretown, Michigan congregation in June, 1907. He arrived at Macha Mission on November 10, 1907.
On November 4, 1909, Myron Taylor married Adda Engle. They had 2 daughters Ruth and Anna. The family moved to Sikalongo Mission in 1920.
While on a preaching tour in the Zambezi Valley, Myron was mauled by a lion and died two days later on September 16, 1931. In 1932 Adda returned to America.
